Hals, Denmark

Hals is a town in Region Nordjylland's Aalborg municipality on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark.Until January 1, 2007, Hals was also a municipality (Danish, kommune) in North Jutland County  The municipality covered an area of 191 km², and had a total population of 11,448 (2005). Its last mayor was Bent Sørensen, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. Though Hals was the biggest town, the site of its municipal council was the town of Gandrup.

Gmina Hals (duń. Hals Kommune) jest jedną z gmin w Danii w okręgu północnej Jutlandii (Nordjyllands Amt). Siedzibą władz gminy jest Gandrup. Gmina Hals została utworzona 1 kwietnia 1970 na mocy reformy podziału administracyjnego Danii. Kolejna reforma planowana jest na rok 2007.

Hals Kommune var indtil 2007 en kommune i Nordjyllands Amt. Kommunen indeholder 5 hovedbyer, Vester Hassing, Gandrup, Ulsted, Hals og Hou. Derudover var der nogle mindre byer i Hals kommune Ålebæk, Stae og Holtet.Efter Kommunalreformen (2007) indgår kommunen i Aalborg Kommune.
