Halabi, el-Halabi, al-Halabi is the name of a number of different families, each of which was named after the city of
Aleppo (Halab in
Arabic) in today's northern
Syria, typically due to the family having originated from there. al-Halabi includes people from the faiths of
Islam,
Christianity, and
Druze. Part of those who are Muslims have migrated to Northern
Jordan to cities such as
Irbid and
Amman. However, many al-Halabi Christians have migrated to United States, England and other European countries. Druze al-Halabi are found in Lebanon, Canada, the United States, and many other countries.
