Haima

Haima (Sanskrit) [from heman gold, winter] Golden, equivalent to hiranya; also wintry. Mystically, certain things or entities were considered golden in the sense of best, the most superior. Thus the Himalayan mountains, because they were considered the best of mountains, were often spoken of as haima (golden), and possibly in later times the term often was used merely to express the idea of golden, having lost its original implication.
