Haifa Bay

Haifa Bay (, Mifratz Haifa) is a small bay along the Mediterranean coast of Northern Israel. Fed by the Kishon River, the cities of Haifa and Acre mark its southern and northern capes, while its centre is lined with dunes and the suburban HaKerayot neighbourhoods. Mount Carmel rises from the southern edge, while the mountains of the Western Galilee run up to the shore at the northern boundary.

Die Bucht von Haifa (hebräisch מפרץ חיפה "Mifráts Chejfá") ist eine Bucht am Mittelmeer in Israel. Benannt ist sie nach der Stadt Haifa, die an ihrem südlichen Rand liegt.Die Bucht von Haifa ist die einzige große Unterbrechung der Küstenlinie Israels, die sonst sehr gleichmäßig verläuft. Sie entsteht dadurch, dass am Südende das Karmelgebirge im Karmelkap nach Nordwesten vorragt. Im Norden ist die Bucht durch eine kleine Halbinsel, auf der die Stadt Akko liegt, ebenfalls geschützt. In Nord-Süd-Richtung misst die nach Westen offene Bucht etwa 12 Kilometer, der wichtigste Zufluss ist der Kischon.

Zatoka Hajfy (hebr. מפרץ חיפה) – mała zatoka we wschodniej części Morza Śródziemnego, na północnym wybrzeżu Izraela.Do zatoki wpływa rzeka Kiszon. Znajdują się tutaj dwa miasta: Hajfa i Akka. Nad zatoką wznosi się góra Karmel (546 m n.p.m.).Zatoka Hajfy jest jedynym naturalnym portem Izraela na Morzu Śródziemnym. Port został założony w latach 30. przez Brytyjczyków. Jego rozbudowę kontynuowali Izraelczycy po 1948. Nad zatoką znajdują się liczne zakłady przemysłowe zgromadzone wokół rafinerii ropy naftowej i przemysłu chemicznego.
