Hagana

The Haganah (Hebrew: "The Defense", ההגנה) was a Jewish paramilitary organization in what was then the British Mandate of Palestine from 1920 to 1948.

Haganah (ההגנה) signifie « défense » en hébreu. Il s'agit d'une organisation clandestine sioniste créée en 1920, qui se voulait une force de protection pour les Juifs ayant émigré en Palestine. Son but originel était de défendre les communautés juives d'éventuelles attaques par les Arabes, comme celles de 1920 à Jérusalem, de 1921, de 1929, puis de la Grande Révolte arabe de 1936-1939 en Palestine mandataire.

Die Hagana (hebr.: ההגנה ha-hagana „Die Verteidigung“) war eine zionistische paramilitärische Organisation in Palästina während des britischen Mandats (1920–1948). Später wurde die Hagana in die neu gegründeten israelischen Streitkräfte überführt.

Haganah (ebraico: "La Difesa", ההגנה) è il nome dato a un'organizzazione paramilitare ebraica in Palestina durante il Mandato britannico dal 1920 al 1948. L'Haganah è nota per essere stato il nucleo delle moderne Forze di Difesa Israeliane (צה"ל), ossia le forze armate dello Stato d'Israele.
