Hades
Hades (; from Greek (older form Ἀϝίδης), Hadēs, originally , Haidēs or , Aidēs (Doric Ἀΐδας Aidas), meaning "the unseen") was the ancient Greek god of the underworld. The genitive , Haidou, was an elision to denote locality: "[the house/dominion] of Hades". Eventually, the nominative came to designate the abode of the dead. In Greek mythology, Hades is the oldest male child of Cronus and Rhea. According to myth, he and his brothers Zeus and Poseidon defeated the Titans and claimed rulership over the cosmos, ruling the underworld, air, and sea, respectively; the solid earth, long the province of Gaia, was available to all three concurrently.

Hadès
Dans la mythologie grecque, Hadès (en grec ancien / Aidês), frère de Zeus et de Poséidon, est le maître des Enfers (dans le sens gréco-romain du terme). Il est marié à Perséphone.

Hades
Hades var i grekisk mytologi härskaren över underjorden (som även den kallas Hades). Som underjordens härskare styr han över de döda och över mineralrikedomarna. Hans kännetecken är ymnighetshorn och osynlighetshätta. I den romerska mytologin kallades Hades för Pluto.

Hades
Hades (w rzymskiej mitologii znany również jako Pluton) (gr. , także Aides - "niewidziany") — w mitologii greckiej oznacza zarówno państwo zmarłych, jak i boga–władcę tego podziemnego świata zmarłych.
Hades był bogiem świata podziemnego i umarłych; nazywany był także Plutonem (gr. , od wyrazu plutos — "bogactwo") i pod tym imieniem występował w mitologii rzymskiej (łac. Pluto). Imię to nadane mu zostało ze względu na niezmierzone bogactwa świata podziemnego. Nazywano go także Agesandros ( — "prowadzący ludzi"). Hades był jednym z 12 bogów olimpijskich, mimo że nie uczestniczył w biesiadach olimpijskich. Hades był synem tytana Kronosa i Rei oraz bratem Zeusa, Posejdona, Demeter, Hestii i Hery. Uprowadził z ziemi Persefonę, córkę Demeter która później została jego małżonką. Jego atrybutami były berło i klucze. Przy boku zawsze miał Cerbera — trójgłowego psa.
