Hadera (Hebrew: חדרה ; Arabic الخضيرة , El-Khudeira) is a city in the Haifa District situated approximately half-way between Tel Aviv and Haifa in Israel. At the end of 2004 the city had a total population of 75,300. There is a synagogue in the middle of town, along with remnants of an Arab inn, which was purchased with the land and served as the first house of the pioneers.
