Habiru

Habiru (Ha biru) or Apiru or pr.w (Egyptian)was the name given by various Sumerian, Egyptian, Akkadian, Hittite, Mitanni, and Ugaritic sources (dated, roughly, from before 2000 BC to around 1200 BC) to a group of people living as MAR TU or nomadic invaders in areas of the Fertile Crescent from Northeastern Mesopotamia and Iran to the borders of Egypt in Canaan  Depending on the source and epoch, these Habiru are variously described as nomadic or semi-nomadic, rebels, outlaws, raiders, mercenaries, and bowmen, servants, slaves, migrant laborers, etc.

Apirou, Abirou, Hapirou ou Habirou est le nom donné par de nombreuses sources sumériennes, égyptiennes, akkadiennes, hittites, mitannites, et ougaritiques (datant environ de -2000 à -1200) à une catégorie de la population du nord-ouest de la Mésopotamie et du Croissant Fertile, depuis les frontières de l'Égypte, jusqu'en Canaan et en Iran. Le portrait qu'on dresse des Apirou varie selon la source et l'époque : ils sont nomades, semi-sédentaires, hors-la-loi, marginaux, rebelles, mercenaires, esclaves, travailleurs migrants, etc.

Habiru (także Habiri, Khabiri, Hapiru, `Apiru, `Eperu) to starożytna nazwa grupy ludzi zamieszkujących rejon Syropalestyny, którzy nie posiadali własnego państwa. Byli przybyszami (zza Eufratu) i prowadzili głównie koczowniczy tryb życia, przez co można ich porównać do wędrownych Cyganów. Do grupy tej należeli głównie Huryci i Semici, zaś w starożytnych inskrypcjach występują jako włóczędzy i rabusie, zaciężni wojownicy, słudzy i niewolnicy oraz kupcy i handlarze. Z racji zbliżonego brzmienia oraz wspólnego źródłosłowu nazwy, podobnego stylu życia, a także relacjach o podboju Kanaanu w listach amarneńskich wielu uczonych uważa, że do grupy tej zaliczano także Hebrajczyków.

Habiru è un termine di derivazione accadica per indicare i nomadi senzaterra che vagavano tra la Mesopotamia la Siria e l'Egitto, durante il II millennio a.C.. Il nome Habiru è testimoniato da molte fonti: dalla città di Mari in Mesopotamia fino in Egitto e in Palestina. Il suo significato è incerto forse significa quelli che vagano a piedi o la gente che vive nella polvere oppure è in relazione al fiume Habur dove si concentrava questa gente.

Habiru, Hapiru of Apiru was een verzamelnaam voor verschillende bevolkingsgroepen in de Vruchtbare Sikkel, van Noord-Oost Mesopotamië over de Kanaänitische regio van de grenzen van Iran tot die van het Oude Egypte, die over een periode van 2000 tot 1200 v. Chr. vermeld worden in verschillende bronnen uit de oudheid van het Nabije Oosten.
