Haïfa

Haifa ( Ḥefa; ) is the largest city in northern Israel and the third-largest city in the country, with a population of about 267,800. The city is a seaport located on Israel's Mediterranean coastline in the Haifa Bay, about 90 km north of Tel Aviv, and is one of the country's major industrial centers.

Haifa (arabo حَيْفَا ) è una città (268.300 ab.) di Israele, capoluogo del distretto omonimo e posta sulla baia omonima. È un importante porto e centro industriale. Primo porto israeliano in ordine di tempo, fu creato negli anni del Mandato britannico. Oggi è il secondo scalo marittimo per attività dopo Ashdod. La città è stata soggetta recentemente ad attacchi terroristici da parte dei militanti libanesi di Hezbollah.
