HYDROS

Hydros was to provide the first global view of the Earth's changing soil moisture and surface freeze/thaw conditions, enabling new scientific studies of global change and atmospheric predictability, and making new hydrologic applications possible.[1]As of 16 December 2005, NASA stated it would not fund this project to completion.

En la mitología griega, Hydros era el dios primordial del agua, de la misma forma que Thesis era la diosa primordial de la creación. En alguna Teogonía Hydros era esencialmente idéntico a Océano, el río que circundaba la Tierra, igual que Thesis respecto a Tetis.No tuvo progenitores: surgió al comienzo del Universo.
