HASSANIYYA

Hassānīya is an Arabic dialect originally spoken by the Beni Hassān Bedouin tribes, who extended their authority over most of Mauritania and the Western Sahara between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries. It has almost completely replaced the Berber languages spoken in this region. Though clearly a western dialect, Hassānīya is relatively distant from other North African variants of Arabic. Its geographical location exposed it to influence from Zenaga and Wolof. There are several dialects of Hassaniya. The primary differences among them are phonetic. Today Hassaniya is spoken by inhabitants of Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Senegal and the Western Sahara.

Le hassaniyya (ou selon les transcriptions, hasanya, hassaniya, hassâniyya, hassaniya, etc.), également appelé hassani, arabe mauritanien ou maure, ou localement klâm hassân « parler des Banu Hassan », klâm el-bidhân « parler des Blancs », est un dialecte arabe parlé en Mauritanie, au Sahara Occidental, dans le sud du Maroc (Guelmim, Assa, Tarfaya, Mhamid el Ghizlane), le désert algérien, le Sénégal et l'extrême nord du Mali. Sur cette aire géographique étendue, il constitue la langue maternelle d’une population de type maure, en majorité arabe ou arabisée. À l'origine dialecte des Bédouins du clan des Banu Hassan, il est fortement influencé par l'arabe littéral, le zenaga (langue berbère de Mauritanie), ainsi que par les langues nigéro-congolaises avec lesquelles il est en contact, dont le wolof et le soninké.

اللهجة الحسانية هي لهجة بدوية مشتقة من العربية التي كانت تتحدثها قبائل بني حسان والذين سيطروا على أغلب صحاري موريتانيا و جنوب المغرب بين القرنين الخامس عشر والسابع عشر.والكلمة لهجة بمعنى لغة ما كلمة عامية. هذه اللهجة جاءت كبديل عن البربرية التي كانت تتحدثها تلك القبائل. ليس للهجة الحسانية علاقة باللهجات المغاربية الأخرى. تعتبر من أفصح اللهجات العربية، وذلك بحكم العزلة التي ظلت قبائل بني حسان العربية تعيش فيها في أعماق الصحراء الكبرى. ولأن الدولة العثمانية لم تصل إلى المغرب و موريتانيا، ولأن الاستعمار الفرنسي لم يزد على 50 عاماً وظل مهمشا ومعزولا من قبل السكان، لذا كانت التأثيرات الخارجية قليلة في اللهجة العربية الموريتانية. وإذا استثنينا تعابير بربرية قليلة وأخرى ولوفية، فإن اللهجة الحسانية الموريتانية تعتبر من أقرب اللهجات المعاصرة إلى اللغة العربية الفصحى.
