HALIA

In Greek mythology, Halia was a nymph from Rhodes and the personification of the saltiness of the sea. Her mother was Thalassa; her father may be Pontus or Uranus. With Poseidon, she was the mother of Rhode.

Dans la mythologie grecque, Halia (en grec ancien  / Hália), fille de Thalassa et de Pontos ou Ouranos selon les versions, est une Haliade de l'île de Rhodes qui personnifie la mer salée. Elle est aimé du dieu Poséidon de qui elle a une fille, la nymphe Rhodé et six fils, les Dieux de l'Ouest (en grec ancien  / Prosèôous Daímones).

Halia - bogini w mitologii greckiej. Była córką córka persofinikacji morza, Pontosa, i Gai oraz siostrą Telchinów. Oddawano jej cześć na Rodos. Imię Halii pochodzi od greckiego słowa αλς, które może oznaczać morze lub sól. Halia jest więc uważana za personifikację słonego morza. Była kochanką Posejdona, z którym spłodziła sześciu synów oraz córki imieniem Rhode, od której pochodzi nazwa wyspy Rodos.
