is a historical province or landskap in the centre of Sweden. It borders the country of Norway as well as the provinces of Dalarna, Hälsingland, Medelpad, and Jämtland. The province originally belonged to Norway, but was ceded to Sweden in the Treaty of Brömsebro, 1645.

Le Härjedalen forme, avec la province de Jämtland au nord, le comté de Jämtland. Härjedalen est la plus petite des provinces de Suède en population.

Härjedalen eller Herjeådalen är ett landskap i Norrland i mellersta Sverige. Härjedalen gränsar i söder till Dalarna, i väster till Norge och Trøndelag, i norr till Jämtland och i öster till Medelpad och Hälsingland. Härjedalen är Sveriges minsta landskap befolkningsmässigt med enbart omkring 10 500 invånare, samtidigt som landskapet är Sveriges tolfte största till ytan med sina 11 954 kvadratkilometer.
