Gulf of Finland

The Gulf of Finland is an arm of the Baltic Sea that extends between Finland (to the north) and Estonia (to the south) all the way to the city of Saint Petersburg in Russia, where the river Neva drains into it. Other major cities around the gulf include Helsinki and Tallinn.

Le golfe de la Finlande (finlandais: Suomenlahti, russe: Финский залив, suédois: Finska viken, estonien: Soome laht) est un bras oriental de la mer Baltique séparant la Finlande de l'Estonie. Le delta de la Neva, au fond de ce golfe, offre une ouverture maritime à la Russie, affirmée par la présence de la deuxième plus grande ville de ce pays, Saint-Pétersbourg.

Der Finnische Meerbusen (finn. Suomenlahti, estn. Soome laht, russ. Finskij zaliw, schwe. Finska viken) ist eine langgestreckte Bucht der Ostsee, die sich in west-östlicher Richtung auf die Newamündung zu erstreckt. In der Bucht befindet sich vor allem Brackwasser.Anrainerstaaten sind Finnland, Estland und Russland. Wichtigste Städte am Finnischen Meerbusen sind Sankt Petersburg, Helsinki und Tallinn. In der Bucht befindet sich unter anderem die Insel Kotlin, auf der die russische Festung Kronstadt liegt.

Il Golfo di Finlandia è un braccio del Mar Baltico che si estende tra la Finlandia (al nord) e l'Estonia (al sud) fino a raggiungere la città di San Pietroburgo in Russia, dove il fiume Neva defluisce in esso. Altre principali città intorno al golfo sono Helsinki e Tallinn.
