Guernsey

The Bailiwick of Guernsey is a British crown dependency in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy.As well as the island of Guernsey itself, it also includes Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou, Brecqhou, Burhou, Lihou and other islets. Although the defence of all these islands is the responsibility of the United Kingdom, Guernsey is not part of the UK but rather a separate possession of the Crown, comparable to the Isle of Man. Guernsey is also not a member of the European Union. The island of Guernsey is divided into . Together with the Bailiwick of Jersey, it is included in the collective grouping known as the Channel Islands. Guernsey belongs to the Common Travel Area.

Le bailliage de Guernesey (anglais: Balliwick of Guernsey) est une dépendance de la couronne britannique dans la Manche au large des côtes françaises. Guernsey [] (amtlich Vogtei Guernsey; engl. Bailiwick of Guernsey, frz. Guernesey) ist die zweitgrößte der britischen Kanalinseln. Die Kanalinseln sind weder ein Teil des Vereinigten Königreiches noch eine Kronkolonie, sondern sind als Kronbesitz (engl. crown dependency) direkt der britischen Krone unterstellt. Sie sind gesonderte Rechtssubjekte und sind nicht Teil der Europäischen Union.

Guernsey (Baliwat Guernsey) (fr. Guernesey) – terytorium przy francuskim wybrzeżu na Kanale La Manche, na wyspie Guernsey i pozostałych Wyspach Normandzkich z wyłączeniem wyspy Jersey. Posiada specyficzny status Dependencji Korony brytyjskiej - nie stanowi formalnie części Zjednoczonego Królestwa Wielkiej Brytanii i Irlandii Północnej, ani Unii Europejskiej. Guernsey podobnie jak Jersey, są de facto terytoriami zależnymi Wielkiej Brytanii (zależność ta wynika jednak z tradycji a nie jest zależnością de iure), jednak nie należą do Unii Europejskiej. Kwestią obrony oraz spraw zagranicznych zajmuje się Wielka Brytania, zaś sprawami administracyjnymi, sądownictwem, gospodarką oraz finansami - lokalne władze.

Guernsey è un'isola del Canale della Manica, situata davanti al golfo di Saint-Malo (costa della Francia). È di fatto il capoluogo delle isole del Canale o isole Normanne, rispetto alle quali è la più ad ovest. Da essa dipendono le isole di Alderney, Herm e Sark. Inglesi dal XIII secolo, dal punto di vista politico questo gruppo di isole (note come Bailiwick of Guernsey, Baliato di Guernsey) non fa parte direttamente del Regno Unito dipendendo però - attraverso governi interni autonomi - direttamente dalla Corona Britannica. Un analogo Baliato, che fa capo anch'esso alla Corona, è costituito dall'isola di Jersey.
