Ground zero
The term ground zero (sometimes also known as surface zero as distinguished from zero point) describes the point on the Earth's surface closest to a detonation. In the case of an explosion above the ground, ground zero refers to the point on the ground directly below the detonation (see hypocenter).

Ground Zero
Ground Zero (deutsch: Bodennullpunkt) bezeichnet in der Militärsprache die Explosionsstelle einer Bombe oder Rakete über dem Boden; seit dem 11. September 2001 steht der Begriff auch für das zerstörte World Trade Center in New York (Ground Zero New York).

Ground zero
Ground zero är den engelska benämningen på den punkt på marken där en explosion har skett, oftast med innebörden av en detonerad atombomb, men även andra explosioner och jordbävningsepicentrum.

Ground Zero
Ground Zero è il nome dato al luogo nel centro di Manhattan a New York City (Stati Uniti d'America) in cui, prima degli attacchi terroristici dell'11 settembre 2001, sorgeva il World Trade Center con le sue Torri Gemelle.

Per il riassetto dell'area e la nuova edificazione di edifici è stato indetto un concorso, vinto dall'architetto polacco-americano, di origini ebraiche, Daniel Libeskind.

Vi sorgerà la Torre della Libertà, destinato a diventare il grattacielo più alto del mondo.
