GRITS is a Christian hip hop group from Nashville, Tennessee. Their name is an acronym, which stands for "Grammatical Revolution In The Spirit", hence the name of the third album (Grammatical Revolution). GRITS is made up of Stacy "Coffee" Jones and Teron "Bonafide" Carter, both of whom were dc Talk dancers.

Grits is a type of corn porridge and a food common in the Southern United States consisting of coarsely ground corn.
