Greenland

Greenland (Greenlandic: Kalaallit Nunaat, meaning "Land of the Kalaallit (Greenlanders)"; , meaning "Greenland") is a self-governing Danish province located between the Arctic and Atlantic Oceans. Though geographically and ethnically an Arctic island nation associated with the continent of North America, politically and historically Greenland is closely tied to Europe, specifically Norway and Denmark. In 1978, Denmark granted home rule to Greenland, making it an equal member of the Rigsfællesskab. It is the largest island in the world that is not also considered a continent.

Le Groenland (Groënland dans la graphie française d'avant 1850, Grønland en danois (« terre verte »), Kalaallit Nunaat en kalaallisut) est une île située en Amérique du Nord, et aussi un territoire autonome rattaché au Danemark. Bien qu'étant un département danois, le Groenland bénéficie d'une large autonomie politique depuis 1978, fortement étendue suite au vote du 25 novembre 2008. Ses habitants ont choisi, au cours d'un référendum en 1982 (entré en vigueur le  1985), de ne plus faire partie de la Communauté européenne et de la CECA auxquelles leur territoire appartenait depuis le  1973.

Grönland (auf Grönländisch Kalaallit Nunaat – „Land der Menschen“, dänisch Grønland [] – „Grünland“) ist die größte Insel der Erde und mehr als sechsmal so groß wie Deutschland. Geographisch wird sie zum arktischen Nordamerika gezählt, politisch ist sie autonomer Bestandteil des Königreichs Dänemark. Seit 1979 besteht das Autonomie-Statut (hjemmestyreloven) als Nation innerhalb des Königreichs Dänemark, seit 1985 ist Grönland nicht mehr Mitglied der Europäischen Gemeinschaft und gehört gemäß Art. 3 Abs. 1 ZK auch nicht zum Zollgebiet der Gemeinschaft. Grönland ist innenpolitisch komplett unabhängig, wird in allen außenpolitischen Angelegenheiten jedoch von Dänemark vertreten. Grönland ist Mitglied der NATO.

Grenlandia (Kalaallit Nunaat) – autonomiczne terytorium zależne Danii położone na wyspie o tej samej nazwie, o obszarze 2175,6 tys. km² (największa wyspa na świecie), pokrytej w 84% przez lądolód (tylko 341,7 tys. km² jest wolnych od lodu) i o ludności 57,1 tys (najcześciej są to Eskimosi, którzy zamieszkują północne regiony Alaski, Kanady i Syberii).

La Groenlandia (in danese: Grønland letteralmente "terra verde", e in groenlandese: Kalaallit Nunaat, letteralmente: "Terra degli uomini") per estensione è la più grande isola del mondo, ed è coperta da ghiacci per l'84 ella sua superficie. La Groenlandia fu una delle colonie della Corona Norvegese fino al 1814, quando passò sotto il controllo della Danimarca; fu soltanto nel 1953 che divenne parte del regno danese in un'unione personale. Nel 1979 all'isola venne concesso l'autogoverno (hjemmestyre) dal Folketing, il parlamento danese, mediante una legge approvata l'anno precedente. La regina di Danimarca rimane comunque il capo di stato della Groenlandia. Fu parte della Comunità Economica Europea, come territorio danese, dal 1973 fino al 1985 quando decise di uscirne con referendum.
