Greeking

Greeking is the term used to check layout in mock-ups of visual design projects before the final text is available or to avoid time wasted rendering fonts when zoomed out. Lorem ipsum text would be used for the former and a greeked font - either grey lines or two- to six- pixel characters - for the latter purpose.
