Greek mythology is the body of myths and legends belonging to the ancient Greeks, concerning their gods and heroes, the nature of the world, and the origins and significance of their own cult and ritual practices. They were a part of religion in ancient Greece and are part of religion in modern Greece and around the world as Hellenismos. Modern scholars refer to, and study the myths in an attempt to throw light on the religious and political institutions of Ancient Greece, its civilization, and to gain understanding of the nature of myth-making itself.

Die Griechische Mythologie umfasst die Gesamtheit der antiken griechischen Mythen, also der Geschichten der Götter und Helden (Heroen) des antiken Griechenlands.

La mythologie grecque est l'ensemble des mythes provenant de la Grèce antique. Elle couvre une très large (et imprécise) période du au Ces récits, familiers à tous les anciens Grecs forment les fondements de leurs rites ainsi que de la représentation qu'ils se faisaient du monde, au moins jusqu'à Protagoras. Cette mythologie est aussi à l'origine, pour une grande part, de la mythologie romaine.

Grekisk mytologi är en samling mytologiska berättelser som innefattar såväl svarssägner och skapelseberättelse, mytologiska beskrivningar av äldre historiska händelser som rent sagostoff. Som vi känner den idag, nedtecknades den grekiska mytologin först av Hesiodos (Theogonin, 700 f.Kr.) och berättelser ur myten - ofta sådana som inte alls nämns av Hesiodos - användes av ett stort antal författare under de följande århundradena.

Mitologia grecka – zbiór przekazywanych przez starożytną tradycję grecką opowieści o bogach, boginiach, herosach, wyjaśniających miejsce człowieka w świecie oraz samo funkcjonowanie świata, jego stworzenie i historię. Z mitologii czerpano wiedzę na temat świata i rozwijano na tej podstawie normy etyczne wyznaczające miejsce człowieka w ustalonym porządku świata. Wiedza płynąca z mitów nie stanowiła jednak nigdy "prawdy objawionej" i otwarta była na dyskurs, polemikę i krytykę. Sama zaś starożytna religia grecka, chociaż nie sposób o niej mówić w oderwaniu od mitologii będącej jej elementarną częścią składową, opierała się w znacznym stopniu na ortopraksji (jedności praktyk religijnych), nie zaś ortodoksji (jedności poglądów).
