Graphics tablet

A graphics tablet (or digitizing tablet, graphics pad, drawing tablet) is a computer input device that allows one to hand-draw images and graphics, similar to the way one draws images with a pencil and paper.A Graphics tablet consists of a flat surface upon which the user may "draw" an image using an attached stylus, a pen-like drawing apparatus. The image generally does not appear on the tablet itself but, rather, is displayed on the computer monitor.

Une tablette graphique est un périphérique de saisie pour ordinateur. Elle est connectée à l'ordinateur par une connexion filaire comme une prise USB ou par une connexion sans fil comme le Bluetooth. Selon les marques, elle peut nécessiter également une alimentation électrique.

Ein Grafiktablett (auch Digitalisiertablett, Digitizer, Pen Tablet) ist ein Zeigegerät für Computereingaben. Die Spitze eines Stiftes wird auf einer Platte bewegt. Der Stift sendet Daten über Stiftdruck und gedrückte Tasten an das Tablett, die so gewonnenen Positionsdaten werden vom Grafiktablett an den Computer übermittelt.

Um tablete gráfico (ou mesa digitalizadora, no Brasil e em Portugal) é um dispositivo periférico de computador que permite a alguém desenhar imagens directamente no computador, geralmente através de um software de tratamento de imagem. Tabletes gráficos consistem de uma superfície plana sobre a qual o utilizador pode "desenhar" uma imagem usando um dispositivo semelhante a uma caneta, denominado "stylus". A imagem geralmente não aparece no tablete propriamente dito, mas é exibida na tela do computador.
