The Georgians ( , Kartveli Eri or Kartvelebi) are among one of the oldest nations and ethnic groups in the world, originating in the Caucasus. Georgians, known as Iberians and Colchians in classical antiquity, speak the Georgian language, which has a rich literary tradition and the Georgian Alphabet is one of the fourteen unique alphabets which exist in the world today.
