George Balanchine
George Balanchine (Georgian: გიორგი ბალანჩივაძე, giorgi balanchivadze) (January 22, 1904 –  April 301983) was a Russian ballet choreographer of Georgian descent. Balanchine is one of the 20th century's foremost choreographers, and one of the founders of American ballet. His work formed a bridge between classical and modern ballet.
