Georg Simmel
Georg Simmel (* 1. März 1858 in Berlin; † 26. September 1918 in Straßburg) war ein deutscher Philosoph und Soziologe. Er leistete wichtige Beiträge zur Kulturphilosophie, war Begründer der „formalen Soziologie“ und der Konfliktsoziologie. Simmel stand in der Tradition der Lebensphilosophie und des Neukantianismus.

Georg Simmel
Georg Simmel, född 1 mars 1858, död 28 september 1918, tysk filosof och sociolog. Undervisade vid Berlins universitet 1885-1914 då han tillträdde som professor i filosofi i Strasbourg där han stannade till sin död. Han såg sig själv i första hand som filosof men hans mest bestående bidrag har han lämnat till sociologin. Hans kanske främsta böcker var Philosophie des Geldes (1900) och Soziologie (1908).

Georg Simmel
Georg Simmel (ur. 1 marca 1858 w Berlinie, zm. 28 września 1918 w Strasburgu w rodzinie żydowskiej) był jednym z pierwszych niemieckich socjologów, a także filozofem, eseistą oraz teoretykiem kultury.
W roku 1881 uzyskał doktorat z filozofii, a w 1885 habilitację, choć nigdy nie zrobił wielkiej kariery uniwersyteckiej, a przez długi czas wykładał na uniwersytecie jako tzw. docent prywatny, tj. z pensją płaconą przez studentów a nie uniwersytet. Dopiero w 1914 roku uzyskał katedrę na podrzędnym uniwersytecie w Strasburgu.
