Ge'ez language
Ge'ez (ግዕዝ, ; also transliterated Gi'iz, and less precisely called Ethiopic) is an ancient South Semitic language that originated in the northern region of Ethiopia and southern Eritrea in the Horn of Africa. It later became the official language of the Kingdom of Aksum and Ethiopian imperial court.

Ge'ez
Ge'ez (Sprache)
Ge'ez (ግዕዝ Gəʿəz; auch: Geez, Aksumitisch oder Altäthiopisch) war die Sprache des spätantiken Reiches von Aksum und war auch lange darüber hinaus bis ins 19. Jahrhundert die Hauptschriftsprache in Äthiopien. Heute ist sie die Kirchensprache der äthiopischen und eritreischen orthodoxen Kirchen.

Ge'ez
Ge'ez är ett utdött språk som en gång talats av folk i det nuvarande Etiopien och Eritrea. Det har utvecklas till tigrinska, tigre och amhariska. Språket återfinns fortfarande i den etiopiska liturgin, Bibelöversättningar och i andra gamla skrifter.

Jezyk gyyz
Gyyz (także geez bądź ge'ez) – język z grupy etiopskich (etiosemickich), używany w królestwie Aksum w mowie i piśmie od IV wieku. Między XI a XIX wiekiem był to język literacki, obecnie jest jedynie jezykiem liturgicznym Kościoła Etiopskiego.
Wyróżnia się trzy okresy rozwoju języka gyyz w literaturze:
- język inskrypcji aksumskich (do ok. IV w. n. e.)
- język przekładów z greki (w tym Pisma Świętego) sprzed roku 1000
- język z okresu po roku 1000 - głównie w kronikach cesarskich
