Gargano is a historical and geographical Italian sub-region situated in Apulia, consisting of a wide isolated mountain massif made of highland and several peaks and forming the backbone of the Gargano Promontory projecting into the Adriatic Sea. The high point is Monte Calvo at . Most of the upland area, about , is part of the Gargano National park, founded in 1991. It is within the Italian Province of Foggia.

Der Gargano ist ein nördliches Vorgebirge Apuliens an der Ostküste von Italien. Er wird auch als der Sporn des italienischen Stiefels bezeichnet. Das Gebiet ist etwa 2015 km² groß und erstreckt sich entlang der Adria. In der Verwaltung wird der Gargano der Provinz Foggia zugeordnet, die in der Region Apulien liegt. Zwei Süßwasserseen, der Lago di Lesina und der Lago di Varano, sind Teil des landschaftlich sehr reizvollen Gebietes. Ein Nationalpark, die Foresta Umbra, bietet Besuchern interessante Einblicke in das Leben von Wildtieren. Bekannt wurde der Gargano in letzter Zeit durch den Mönch Pater Pio, dem in San Giovanni Rotondo eigens eine Kirche gebaut wurde. Der Ort ist heute eine Wallfahrtstätte, zu der in großer Zahl Anhänger der katholischen Kirche pilgern, die an von ihm vollbrachte Wunder glauben.

Le Gargano est une région naturelle située dans la province de Foggia (région des Pouilles) en Italie. Il correspond essentiellement à un massif montagneux surnommé l'« éperon de l'Italie » qui se projette sur 70 km dans la mer Adriatique, et délimite le golfe de Manfredonia. Vers l'est, il s'étend jusqu'à un cap nommé la Testa del Gargano, tandis qu'à l'ouest il se rattache au massif du Tavoliere delle Puglie, couvrant une superficie globale de près de 2000 km². Cette région comprend le parc national du Gargano.

Gargano är en bergig halvö i östra Italien. Gargano är belägen vid Adriatiska havet och utgör en yta på 2 015 km². Halvön är uppbyggd av kalksten och med ett flertal karstformationer. Den högsta punkten är Monte Calvo, 1 056 meter över havet.
