A regular fixture in the left back of the Jamaican squad, Gardner is very quick and has since very youth he attracted interest from European clubs where naturally left sided players are at a premium in defensive positions. His display in France WC was so impressive that English-based Bolton Wanderers signed him. He passes the ball well across defence and down the flanks and has been trying to improve freekicks in training.
