Gadu-Gadu

Gadu-Gadu (Polish for "chit-chat"; commonly known as GG or gg) is a Polish instant messaging client. Gadu-Gadu is financed by the display of advertisements. As with ICQ, users are identified by their serial numbers. There are numerous add-ons available to provide extra features. The official version provides over 150 smiley icons, and allows off-line messages, data dispatch, and VoIP. Since version 6.0, an experimental SSL secure connection mode can be used. The developer is based in Warsaw, Poland.

Gadu-Gadu est un système de messagerie instantanée très populaire en Pologne et qui utilise son propre protocole propriétaire. Gadu-Gadu (dt. etwa „laber-laber“, „plauschen“, „sich unterhalten“) ist ein kommerzieller Instant Messenger. Als sogenannte Adware wird mit Reklame Geld verdient, die das kostenlos nutzbare Programm nebenbei einblendet. Es ist der in Polen meistverbreitete Instant Messenger.Die Identifizierung der Nutzer erfolgt wie bei ICQ über laufende Nummern. Die offizielle Version des Programmes ist recht schlank, kann aber mit zahlreich verfügbaren Add-ons ausgebaut werden. Ein Komplettpaket stellt PowerGG dar. Eine Alternative zu dem offiziellen Client sind die Multi-Protokoll-Clients Konnekt, Miranda IM, AQQ, Pidgin, Kopete, Adium und andere, die standardmäßig mit einem Gadu-Gadu-Plug-in ausgeliefert werden.

Gadu-Gadu to najpopularniejszy polski komunikator internetowy dla systemu Windows, opracowywany przez firmę Gadu-Gadu S.A. (dawniej SMS-Express.com Sp. z o.o.). Pomysłodawcą i twórcą Gadu-Gadu jest informatyk Łukasz Foltyn, który zainspirował się sukcesem komunikatora ICQ. Gadu-Gadu è il client di messaggistica istantanea più usato in Polonia per Windows. Esiste dal 1999 ed è stato creato dall'azienda polacca Gadu-Gadu Sp. z o.o. (ex SMS-express Sp. z o.o.) e attualmente l'ultima versione è la 7.7.0. Per identificare gli utenti, il programma associa ad ognuno un numero (come ICQ) dove poi il singolo utente può farsi identificare con un proprio nome o nickname. Ultimamente ha avviato servizi come la connessione a Internet e la telefonia in VoIP, in più si possono inviare anche SMS ai gestori polacchi. Gadu-Gadu afferma che gli utenti che utilizzano il suo servizio sono oltre i 5 milioni.
