Gabriel

For other uses, see Gabriel (disambiguation).In Abrahamic religions, Gabriel (גַּבְרִיאֵל, Standard Hebrew Gavriʼel, Latin Gabrielus, Greek , Tiberian Hebrew Gaḇrîʼēl, Arabic جبريل Jibrīl or Jibrail, literally "Master, of God", i.e., a Master, who is "of God") is an angel who is thought to serve as a messenger from God ("angel" literally translates to "messenger" from the Koine Greek; an "arch" angel is a "primary" or "chief" messenger). He first appears in the Book of Daniel in the Hebrew Bible. He is also referred to as the "Left Hand of God and the embodiment of the Holy Spirit".  Christians and Muslims believe him to have foretold the births of John the Baptist and Jesus to Zacharias and the Virgin Mary respectively, and  Muslims believe he was the medium through which God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad, and Muslims also believe he sent a message to most, if not all, prophets revealing their obligation.

Gabriel (hébreu : גַּבְרִיאֵל [ġabrīēl] La Force de Dieu ou Dieu est ma Force) de gabar (force) et El (Dieu). La signification de son nom est "Personne solide de Dieu". (arabe : جبريل [jibrīl] Djibril, mais dans la Bible en arabe: جبرائيل [jabrā'īl]) est un ange (ou archange) cité dans l'Ancien Testament, puis dans le Nouveau Testament et le Coran (ici, sous le nom de جبرائيل [Gɛbrɛːjɪːl] ou جبريل [Dʒɛbrɪːl]). Il est donc connu par le judaïsme, le christianisme et l'islam.

Gabriel (hebr. גַּבְרִיאֵל, ar. جبريل / جبرائيل ) - imię męskie pochodzenia semickiego. Wywodzi się od hebrajskiego słowa oznaczającego "mąż boży". Imię jednego z archaniołów, który zwiastował Najśw. Pannie Marii a jeszcze wcześniej przepowiedział Zachariaszowi narodziny jego syna - Jana Chrzciciela. Według islamu to Gabriel podyktował Koran prorokowi Mahometowi.

Archanioł Gabriel (hebr. גַּבְרִיאֵל ġabrīēl, grec. Γαβριήλ, arab. جبريل Dżibril, Dżabra`il, ƒƒ„Bóg jest moją siłą”, „mąż Boży” albo „wojownik Boży”) – w tradycji chrześcijańskiej, judaistycznej i islamskiej, jeden z trzech najwyższych rangą aniołów. Jest aniołem zwiastowania, zmartwychwstania, miłosierdzia, zemsty, śmierci i objawienia. Obok Michała i Rafała (Rafaela), jest jednym z trzech znanych z imienia archaniołów Starego Testamentu. Gabriel sprawuje władzę nad rajem.

Nelle religioni abramiche, Gabriele (ebraico גַּבְרִיאֵל, Gavriʼel, latino Gabrielus, greco Γαβριήλ, ebraico tiberiano Gaḇrîʼēl, arabo جبريل Jibrīl o Jibrail, letterariamente "Padrone, di Dio", un Padrone, che è "di Dio") è un arcangelo che si suppone serva Dio come messaggero ("angelo" letterariamente deriva dal Greco "messaggero" ). È il primo ad apparire nel Libro di Daniele della Bibbia. Era anche rappresentato come "la mano sinistra di Dio". I cristiani credono che abbia predetto la nascita di Giovanni Battista e di Gesù, e i musulmani credono che sia il tramite attraverso cui Dio rivelò il Corano a Maometto.
