For the executive department in the Philippines, see Department of Budget and Management. dBm is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibel (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). It is used in radio, microwave and fiber optic networks as a convenient measure of absolute power because of its capability to express both very large and very small values in a short form. dBm (or dBmW) and dBW are independent of impedance (as opposed to dBV which is dependent, for example).

Dbm was the first of a family of simple database engines, originally written by Ken Thompson and released by AT&T in 1979 . The name is a three letter acronym for Database manager. It stores data by use of a single key (a primary key) in fixed-size buckets and uses hashing techniques to enable fast retrieval of the data by key.

dBm to jednostka miary mocy odniesiona do 1 mW (dB odniesiony do mW - stąd nazwa dBm).Moc wyrażona w dBm mówi o ile decybeli moc ta jest większa (lub mniejsza) od mocy 1 mW.Poziomowi 10 mW odpowiada 10 dBm, 1 mW      -> 0 dBm, 0.1 mW      -> -10 dBm.
