{Chembox new | Name = Gallium(III) nitride | IUPACName = Gallium(III) nitride | OtherNames = None Listed. | Name = Electronic Properties | Section1 = | Section2 = | Section7 = | Section8 = }}Gallium nitride (N) is a direct-bandgap semiconductor material of wurtzite crystal structure with a wide (3.4 eVband gap, used in optoelectronic, high-power and high-frequency devices. It is a binary group III/group V direct bandgap semiconductor. Its sensitivity to ionizing radiation is low (like other group III nitrides), making it a suitable material for solar cell arrays for satellites. Because GaN transistors can operate at much hotter temperatures and work at much higher voltages than GaAs transistors, they make ideal power amplifiers at microwave frequencies.

Jiangxi
(; Postal map spelling: Kiangsi) is a southern province of the People's Republic of China, spanning from the banks of the Yangtze River in the north into hillier areas in the south. The name of the province does not mean "west of the Yangtze" as a literal reading would imply, but originated as a contraction of "Jiangnan Xi" (江南西; "West Jiangnan", or more literally "the west of the south of the Yangtze"). The name was coined when Jiangnan ("south of the Yangtze") Circuit was split into western and eastern halves during the Tang Dynasty.
