G-code is the common name for the most widely used computer numerical control (CNC) programming language, which has many implementations. Used mainly in automation, it is part of computer-aided engineering. G-code is sometimes called G programming language.

G code
G code to język zapisu poleceń dla urządzeń CNC. Definiuje operacje, które należy wykonać, aby obrobić detal na obrabiarce sterowanej numerycznie CNC. G code można edytować samodzielnie lub otrzymać w wyniku przetworzenia przez CAM bryły utworzonej za pomocą CAD.
Przykładowe instrukcje G code:
- G00 - instrukcja która opisuje ruch szybki narzędzia bez możliwości obróbki
- G01 - ruch narzędzia wg interpolacji liniowej
- G02 - ruch narzędzia wg interpolacji kołowej zgodnie z ruchami wskazówek zegara
- G03 - ruch narzędzia wg interpolacji kołowej przeciwnie do ruchu wskazówek zegara
- G04 - postój czasowy
- G33 - toczenie gwintu
- G70 - wymiarowanie w calach
- G71 - wymiarowanie w milimetrach (funkcja maszynowa)
- G90 - pozycjonowanie absolutne (funkcja maszynowa)
- G91 - pozycjonowanie przyrostowe
- G94 - programowanie prędkości posuwu w mm/min (funkcja maszynowa)

G-code
Een G-code is een commando dat gebruikt wordt bij het programmeren van een CNC-programma. Deze G-code is een instructie voor de machine. De code heeft een opbouw met de letter G, gevolgd door een nummer, bv. G26. Het nummer achter de G heeft een betekenis. De nummers 1 tot en met 100 hebben een vaste betekenis die vastgelegd is in een ISO-standaard. De nummers hoger dan 100 zijn vrij en kunnen door machinemakers vrij gebruikt worden in het programmeren van extra functies van de machines die niet standaard opgenomen worden in de ISO-codering. G-codes zijn niet alleen belangrijk in een CNC-programma. Er worden ook M-codes gebruik. Deze codes zijn machinehulpcodes maar zijn even belangrijk als de G-codes zelf. Een G-code zal gebruikt worden bij het bewerken van een werkstuk, waarbij M-codes eerder zullen gebruikt worden om de machine extra instructies te geven als aanvulling bv. M03 of M08. Daarnaast is het gebruik van deze codes niet het enige belangrijke aan een CNC-programma. Het programma is volledig afhankelijk van coördinaten en waarde die de nauwkeurigheid en de correctheid van een werkstuk bepalen.

ShowView is een systeem dat het mogelijk maakt om je videorecorder (of dvd-recorder) automatisch te programmeren met slechts één nummer uit je TV-gids. Het nummer bevat de gecodeerde instellingen voor je opnametoestel.

G-code
G-code это имя языка программирования для контроля над NC и CNC машинами. Был создан компанией Electronic Industries Alliance в начале 1960-х. Финальная доработка была одобренна в феврале 1980-о года как RS274D стандарт.
В ходе разработки из-за огромной нехватки контроля над всеми многочислеными функциями и инструментами станков, несколько производителей CNC машин взяли G-code как стандарт. Дополнения и нововведения в G-code делались самими фирмами производителями, поэтому каждый оператор обязан быть осведомлен в различиях между машинами разных производителей.
