G-String

A G-string (alternatively gee-string or gee string) is a type of thong, a narrow piece of cloth, leather, or plastic that covers or holds the genitals, passes between the buttocks, and is attached to a band around the hips, worn as  swimwear or  underwear by both men and women. The two terms G-string and thong are often used interchangeably; however, they can refer to distinct pieces of clothing: The primary difference between the two garments is that a g-string has less material between the legs and buttocks, hence a string-like appearance. Variants of the G-string include the V-string, a thong with a triangle "V" of cloth at the top of the rear, and the T-string, where a single string passes around the waist and between the legs, forming a T between the buttocks. Der Tanga (portugiesisch von Tupi tanga „Lendenschurz“) ist ein auf Bänder und Stoffdreiecke reduzierter Bikini brasilianischer Herkunft.Der Begriff Tanga, eigentlich Tanga-Slip, hat sich im deutschen Sprachgebrauch auch für Slips eingebürgert, die als Unterwäsche getragen werden. Er hat um die Hüfte nur einen dünn geschnittenen Bund oder Bänder und bedeckt das Gesäß und die Genitalien.Eine Weiterentwicklung des Tanga stellt der String dar, der das Gesäß nur minimal oder gar nicht bedeckt.

Stringi (z ang. string - sznurek) - rodzaj majtek, przeważnie damskich (choć spotyka się także stringi męskie). Tylna ich część to wąski pasek materiału, niekiedy zbliżony grubością do sznurka (stąd nazwa), chowający się między pośladkami. Stringi nosi się nie tylko ze względów estetycznych, aby uniknąć niepożądanego efektu wrzynających się w pośladki majtek, widocznych spod spódnicy czy spodni, ale też po to, aby pokazać jak najwięcej ciała na plaży czy na basenie. Stringi zyskują sobie coraz większą popularność, jednak niektóre konserwatywne kobiety uważają je za niemoralne.

Een G-string, string, stringtanga of tangastring is een klein zwembroekje of slipje dat het geslachtsdeel bedekt en voor de rest slechts bestaat uit een touwtje om het middel en door de bilspleet.Hoewel het kledingstuk reeds decennialang door exotische dansers wordt gedragen, bereikte de string algemene populariteit in de jaren '70. Voor het eerst gebeurde dit in Zuid-Amerika, in het bijzonder in Brazilië. Vele stammen droegen een kledingstuk dat op een string lijkt al vele eeuwen, misschien zelfs millennia. Het woord dat ervoor werd gebruikt in Zuid-Amerika, tanga, wordt tegenwoordig gebruikt in vele talen. Soms verwijst het woord tanga specifiek naar een zeer kleine uitvoering van een string met slechts twee kleine driehoekjes stof, maar meestal wordt de uit een voor en rugzijde staander tangaslip bedoeld.
