Friuli (Furlan: , German: Friaul, Slovenian: Furlanija) is an area of northeastern Italy that comprises a major part of the autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Friuli-Venezia Giulia's administrative capital is Trieste, while Udine is the ideal and cultural center of Friuli.
