Greek frappé is a foam-covered cold coffee drink made from spray-dried instant coffee. It is very popular in Greece especially during summer but has now spread to other countries. The instant coffee found in other countries such as the USA is usually freeze-dried, which is in general more flavorful, but whose higher oil content impedes foam formation.
