Fortschritt

Fortschritt is an East German brand of tractors, combine harvesters and other agricultural machines made by VEB Fortschritt (part of the IFA) in Neustadt, Saxony.Fortschritt was taken over by Case IH in 1997.

Fortschritt bezeichnet eine Weiterentwicklung eines Zustandes, zumeist im positiven Sinne. Umgangssprachliche Gegenbegriffe sind Rückständigkeit oder Stillstand.Die Deutung von Geschichte unter der Interpretation einer Fortschrittsentwicklung bezeichnet man als fortschrittstheoretische Geschichtsdeutung, der gegensätzliche Ansatz wird als verfallstheoretischer Geschichsdeutungsansatz bezeichnet (z. B.  Goldenes Zeitalter).
