Formula 1

Formula One, abbreviated to F1, is the highest class of auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motor sport's world governing body. The "formula" in the name is a set of rules which all participants and cars must meet. The F1 world championship season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held usually on purpose-built circuits, and in a few cases on closed city streets. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers and one for constructors.

Die Formel 1 (kurz auch F1) ist eine Zusammenfassung der Regeln, Richtlinien und Bedingungen, in deren Rahmen die Formel-1-Weltmeisterschaft (offiziell FIA Formula One World Championship), eine vom Automobil-Dachverband Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) festgelegte Formelserie, ausgetragen wird. Die Formel-1-Weltmeisterschaft ist die höchstrangige von der FIA veranstaltete Rennserie des Formelsports. Sie wird als Königsklasse des Automobilsports bezeichnet, da sie den Anspruch erhebt, die höchsten technischen, fahrerischen aber auch finanziellen Anforderungen aller Rennserien an Fahrer und Konstrukteure zu stellen.

Formuła 1 to cykl najbardziej prestiżowych wyścigów samochodowych na świecie, znanych również jako wyścigi Grand Prix, a jednocześnie klasa biorących w nich udział jednomiejscowych samochodów wyścigowych o otwartym nadwoziu. Sport zapoczątkowany został w Europie, ale obecnie jest sportem międzynarodowym, wyścigi są lub były organizowane w Europie, obu Amerykach, Afryce, Azji i Australii. W trakcie sezonu odbywają się wyścigi (w sezonie 2006 odbyło się 18 eliminacji), znane jako grand prix, na wydzielonych torach ulicznych lub na specjalnie stworzonych do tego celu torach nie-ulicznych.

La Formula 1 o Formula Uno, abbreviata in F1 (in inglese Formula One, in francese Formule Un, in tedesco Formel Eins), fondata nel 1946, è la classe più alta di corse automobilistiche per monoposto scoperte definita dalla Federazione Internazionale dell'Automobile (FIA), il massimo organismo motoristico sportivo mondiale. La "formula" del nome è un set di regole alle quali tutti i partecipanti, le macchine e i piloti, devono adeguarsi. Il titolo dello sport, Formula 1, indica anche, come termine, la più avanzata e competitiva delle diverse formule di corsa esistenti o esistite.
