Faust
Faust is the protagonist of a classic German legend; a highly successful scholar, but also dissatisfied with his life, and so makes a deal with the devil, exchanging his soul for unlimited knowledge and worldly pleasures. Faust's tale is the basis for many literary, artistic, cinematic, and musical works.

FAUST (programming language)
FAUST (Functional AUdio STream) is a programming language that provides a purely functional approach to signal processing while offering a high level of performance. FAUST aims at being complementary to existing audio languages by offering a viable and efficient alternative to C/C++ to develop signal processing libraries, audio plug-ins or standalone applications. The language is based on a simple and well defined formal semantics. A FAUST program denotes a signal processor, a mathematical function that transforms input signals into output signals.

FAUST
Die FAUST e. V. (FAbrikUmnutzung und STadtteilkultur) ist ein Verein in Hannover im Stadtteil Linden-Nord, der im Dezember 1991 aus einer Bürgerinitiative hervorgegangen ist, um durch Umnutzung eines stillgelegten Fabrikgeländes die Stadtteilkultur, interkulturelle Kommunikation und das Stadtteilleben zu fördern.

Faust ist eine funktionale Programmiersprache für die Echtzeit-Signalverarbeitung von Audio-Signalen. Der Name Faust steht für Functional AUdio STream. Entwickelt wird Faust am GRAME centre national de création musicale in Lyon.

Faust
Le docteur Faust est le protagoniste d'un conte populaire allemand qui a été employé comme base de beaucoup d’œuvres de fiction. Ce conte relate le destin d'un homme instruit, Johann Faust, qui appelle le diable à son aide, et offre de lui vendre son âme à condition que le diable accepte de le servir pendant 24 ans. Il signe avec le Diable, souvent nommé Méphistophélès, la reddition de son âme. Dans la plupart des versions ultérieures du conte, l’âme de Faust demeure sienne après que le diable accomplit ses vœux.

Faust (motyw w sztuce)
Faust - fikcyjna postać, bohater bardzo wielu utworów literackich, muzycznych i innych. Faust jest naukowcem, który przyzywa Diabła i podpisuje cyrograf - oferuje swą duszę, a w zamian oczekuje, że Diabeł będzie mu służył przez pewien czas.
Inspiracją dla postaci Fausta był niemiecki alchemik Johann Georg Faust (ok. 1480 - 1540).
