Fashoda Incident
The Fashoda Incident or "Fashoda Crisis" (1898) was the climax of imperial territorial disputes between Britain and France in Eastern Africa. A French expedition to Fashoda on the White Nile sought to gain control of the Nile River and thereby force Britain out of Egypt. The British held firm as Britain and France were on the verge of war. It ended in a diplomatic victory for the British. It gave rise to the 'Fashoda syndrome' in French foreign policy, or seeking to assert French influence in areas which might be becoming susceptible to British influence.

Faschoda-Krise
Die Faschoda-Krise fand 1898 zwischen Großbritannien und Frankreich statt. Für die III. Französische Republik war die Faschoda-Krise neben dem Panamaskandal und der Dreyfus-Affäre die dritte große Krise innerhalb von zehn Jahren.

Crise de Fachoda
La crise de Fachoda est un incident diplomatique sérieux qui opposa la France au Royaume-Uni en 1898. Son retentissement a été d'autant plus important que ces pays étaient alors traversés par de forts courants nationalistes. Elle a eu pour cadre le poste militaire avancé de Fachoda, au sud de l'Égypte.

Kodok
Kodok (do 1904 roku Faszoda, Paloich, arab. كودوك) – miejscowość w południowym Sudanie, nad Białym Nilem.
W 1898 roku wybuchł spór między Francją a Wielką Brytanią o Faszodę. Francja chcąc połączyć swoje kolonie w Afryce chciała zająć Sudan, na który ochotę mieli Anglicy. W 1898 francuski kapitan Jean-Baptiste Marchand zajął dla Francji Faszodę, ale już we wrześniu angielski dowódca Kitschener po dotaciu do Faszody zażądał by Francuzi opuścili miasto. Marchand powiedział, że to zrobi, ale tylko na rozkaz Paryża. Francuzi zmuszeni byli opuścić Faszodę, gdyż nie byli przygotowani do wojny z Anglią.

Incidente de Fachoda
El Incidente de Fachoda o Crisis de Fachoda es el nombre con el que se conocen los episodios que tuvieron lugar entre 1898 y 1899, cuando Francia y Reino Unido deciden construir sendas líneas de ferrocarril destinadas a conectar sus respectivas colonias africanas. La pequeña ciudad de Fachoda, en Sudán, situada en la intersección de las dos líneas, se convierte en el escenario de la confrontación.
