For other uses, see Fram (disambiguation).Fram ("Forward") is a ship that was used in expeditions in the Arctic and Antarctic regions by the Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, Oscar Wisting, and Roald Amundsen between 1893 and 1912. Fram was probably the strongest wooden ship ever built. It was designed by the Norwegian shipwright Colin Archer for Fridtjof Nansen's 1893 Arctic expedition in which Fram was supposed to freeze into the Arctic ice sheet and float with it over the North Pole.

Die Fram (norwegisch für "vorwärts") war ein 1892 fertiggestelltes Schiff, das norwegische Polarforscher in den Jahren 1893—1912 nutzten. Die Fram war dafür gebaut, im Packeis driften zu können, ohne unter dem enormen Druck des Eises Schaden zu nehmen.Die Initiative zum Bau ging von Fridtjof Nansen aus; er gab Colin Archer, dem renommierten norwegischen Schiffskonstrukteur aus Larvik, 1890 den Auftrag, die Fram zu bauen.Kein Holzschiff fuhr jemals weiter nördlich oder südlich. Die Fram war bis 1914 für Expeditionen unterwegs und wurde 1935 angelandet. Das Schiff wird heute im Frammuseum in Oslo ausgestellt.

Fram – (norw. Naprzód)- norweski statek, który wsławił się wyprawami do obu biegunów, obecnie znajduje się w Muzeum Statku Polarnego Fram w Oslo.Statek został zbudowany w 1892 roku na zamówienie podróżnika Fridtjofa Nansena i wziął udział w trzech wielkich ekspedycjach polarnych: Fridtjofa Nansena (w latach 1893-1896), Ottona Sverdrupa (1898-1902) oraz Roalda Amundsena (1910-1912).

La Fram (Avanti, in norvegese) è una nave utilizzata in diverse spedizioni nelle regioni artiche ed antartiche dagli esploratori norvegesi Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, Oscar Wisting e Roald Amundsen tra gli anni 1893 e 1912. Disegnata da Colin Archer, architetto navale e proprietario degli omonimi cantieri Archer a Larvik, nei pressi di Oslo è probabilmente la più resistente nave in legno mai costruita. Venne infatti realizzata appositamente per la spedizione in Artide di Fridtjof Nansen del 1893 dove era previsto un suo ibernamento tra i ghiacci del pack artico.
