FAQ

FAQ is an initialism for "Frequently Asked Question(s)". The term refers to listed questions and answers, all supposed to be frequently asked in some context, and pertaining to a particular topic. Since the acronym originated in textual media, its pronunciation varies; "fak", "faks" and "F.A.Q." are commonly heard. Depending on usage, the term may refer specifically to a single frequently-asked question, or to an assembled list of many questions and their answers.

Frequently Asked Questions (kurz „FAQ“, Englisch für häufig gestellte Fragen) sind eine Zusammenstellung von oft gestellten Fragen und den dazugehörigen Antworten zu einem Thema. Bekannt geworden sind FAQ im IT-Bereich, insbesondere im Internet, wo viele Newsgroups des Usenet eine FAQ erstellt haben, um die Foren zu entlasten. Weil sich das Prinzip der FAQ-Listen bewährt hat, gibt es diese in vielen Bereichen. Zu DOS-Zeiten wurden Programmen oft Textdateien namens faq.txt beigegeben. Später ergänzten Online-FAQ die Offline-Readme-Datei und das Benutzerhandbuch. Die ersten Online-FAQ verfasste 1982 der NASA-Mitarbeiter Eugene Miya.

FAQ (ang. Frequently Asked Questions) - to zbiory "często zadawanych pytań" i odpowiedzi na nie, tworzone głównie po to, aby uwolnić się od ciągłego odpowiadania na stale powtarzające się i nudne (dla odpowiadającego) pytania.Oryginalnie skrót ten powstał w armii USA i został wymyślony przez jednego z generałów w trakcie wojny secesyjnej. Rekrutom w armii USA wręcza się po dziś dzień komplet "FAQ-ów" z interesujących ich dziedzin, aby nie męczyli starszych kolegów niepotrzebnymi pytaniami.Zwyczaj ten został następnie zaadaptowany przez administratorów pierwszych uczelnianych serwerów komputerowych w USA, tworzących zrąb ówczesnego Internetu, którzy zaczęli tworzyć takie dokumenty i wysyłać je jako odpowiedzi na ciągle powtarzające się pytania początkujących użytkowników.

Le frequently asked questions, meglio conosciute con la sigla FAQ, sono letteralmente le "domande poste frequentemente"; più esattamente sono una serie di risposte a proposte direttamente dall'autore, in risposta alle domande gli vengono poste, o che riterrebbe gli verrebbero poste, più frequentemente dagli utilizzatori di un certo servizio: soprattutto su internet e in particolare nel web e nelle comunità virtuali vi sono domande ricorrenti alle quali si preferisce rispondere pubblicamente con un documento affinché non vengano poste troppo spesso, in modo da sciogliere i dubbi dei nuovi utenti.
