Excel Saga

is a comedy manga series by Koushi Rikudou, and a TV anime series directed by Shinichi Watanabe. Both the anime and the manga are absurdist comedies following the attempts of Across, a "secret ideological organization", to conquer the city of Fukuoka as a first step towards world domination. Excel, the title character, is a key member of Across and ranks below only the organization's enigmatic leader, Ilpalazzo. In both the manga and anime, the city is defended by a shadowy government agency led by Dr. Kabapu, whose subordinates engage Excel and her junior officer, Hyatt, on several occasions.

Excel Saga (エクセル・サーガ, Ekuseru Sāga) est un manga de Kōshi Rikudō, auteur assez prolifique du milieu des dōjinshi, entre autres reconnu pour les parodies érotiques de ses propres séries. Il a été adapté en anime humoristique et parodique de 26 épisodes réalisés en 1999 par Shinichi Watanabe, sous le titre Heppoko Jikken Animation Excel Saga (へっぽこ実験アニメーション エクセル♥サーガ, heppoko jikken animeshon ekuseru sāga).

Excel Saga (jap. , Ekuseru Saga) ist ein Manga von Koshi Rikudo, der auch als Anime umgesetzt wurde. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Comedy-Serie, die die zahlreichen Anime- und Manga-Genres parodiert. Inoffizieller Nachfolger des Animes ist Puni Puni Poemi, der sich um die angebliche Tochter des Charakters Nabeshin dreht.

to 26-odcinkowa komediowa seria anime, której premierowa emisja miała miejsce od 7 października 1999 do 30 marca 2000 na antenie TV Tokyo. Stworzona została przez studio J.C.STAFF. W japońskiej telewizji pokazano tylko 25 odcinków, ponieważ ostatni epizod, zatytułowany Yari sugi (ang. Going Too Far – posuwając się za daleko) zawierał zbyt wiele kontrowersyjnych scen (zamierzonych przez twórców). Anime bazuje na mandze autorstwa Kōshiego Rikdō.

L'adattamento in anime è stato sviluppato dal J.C.Staff e pubblicato da Victor Entertainment. Dopo il succeso sia del manga che dell'anime, essi sono stati tradotto in inglese, spagnolo, francese, portoghese ed in italiano.
