Everett Shinn

Everett Shinn (born November 6, 1876, Woodstown, New Jersey; died May 1, 1953, New York City) was an American painter and illustrator and member of the Ashcan School. He was one of "The Eight", the group of American artists who first exhibited together at New York's Macbeth Gallery in 1908. He was known for his pastel renditions of New York street scenes.
