European long-distance paths
The European long-distance paths are a network of extremely long distance footpaths across
Europe
. They all pass through many different countries, unlike most other European
long-distance footpaths
which are located in just one country or region. The European long-distance paths were designated by the European Ramblers' Association. In general the routes make use of existing national and local trails such as the
GR footpaths
