Estádio Mário Filho

The Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, commonly called Estádio do Maracanã ("Maracanã stadium"), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is one of the largest football stadiums in the world. Owned by the Rio de Janeiro State Government, it is named after the Maracanã neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. It was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup. Since then, it has mainly been used for football matches between the biggest football clubs in Rio de Janeiro, including Flamengo, Botafogo, Fluminense and sometimes the Vasco da Gama. It has also hosted a number of concerts and other sporting events. Although the paid attendance at the deciding game of the 1950 FIFA World Cup was 173,000, the stadium currently seats 95,000 spectators.

Le stade Maracanã de Rio de Janeiro est l'un des plus grands stades de football au monde. Nommé d'après le quartier de Rio où il s'élève, il abrite les clubs de Flamengo et Fluminense. Inauguré le 24 juillet 1950, il porte à l'origine le nom de Estadio Municipal, mais il sera renommé en 1964, Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho qui reste aujourd'hui son nom officiel.

Das Maracanã-Stadion, eigentlich Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho, ist eine Konzert- und Wettkampfstätte in der Küstenstadt Rio de Janeiro in Brasilien. Es hieß ursprünglich Estadio Municipal und wurde nach dem Tod Mário Filhos (1966), der sich als einflussreicher Sportjournalist sehr für den Bau eingesetzt hatte, umbenannt. Es trägt nun den offiziellen, aber nicht geläufigen Namen Mário-Filho-Stadion (Estádio Mário Filho). Es ist mit einem Fassungsvermögen von 103.022 Zuschauern, laut der offiziellen Website des Stadions, nach dem Stadion des 1. Mai (150.000) in Pjöngjang, dem Yuba Bharati Krirangan (120.000) in Kolkata und dem Aztekenstadion (105.000) in Mexico-Stadt das viertgrößte Fußball-Stadion der Welt.

Stadion Maracanã (oficjalna nazwa port. Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho) w Brazylii w Rio de Janeiro  - jeden z największych obecnie stadionów piłkarskich świata mogący pomieścić w różnych latach, wg różnych źródeł od 95 000 do 200 000 widzów. Zbudowany w latach 1948 - 1950.Stadion jest położony na terenie zbudowanego w l. 1949 – 1951 (ok. 200 ha), reprezentacyjnego ośrodka sportowego noszącego również nazwę Maracanã. Na terenie tego ośrodka znajduje się także pływalnia z trybunami dla 25 000 osób oraz  tor kolarski i strzelnica.Oddany został do użytku na otwarcie mistrzostw świata w piłce nożnej w 1950 r. Po 1950 r. wykorzystywany był głównie do rozgrywania meczów piłkarskich pomiędzy największymi klubami Rio de Janeiro: Flamengo, Botafogo, Fluminense i Vasco da Gama. Stadion bywał również gospodarzem innych wydarzeń sportowych oraz wielu koncertów.
