Espírito Santo () is one of the states of southeastern Brazil, often referred to by the abbreviation "ES". Its capital is Vitória and the largest city is Vila Velha. The name of the state means literally "holy spirit" after the Holy Ghost of Christianity. With an extensive coastline (40% of the territory is on the coast), the state has some of the country's main ports but the beaches are the best tourist attractions. Vitória, the capital, is on an island, next to Guarapari, well known by its sands. In the extreme north is the Itaúnas part of the municipality of Conceição da Barra, whose sand dunes and forró are famous. Also on the coast, the typical gastronomy is another attraction with the moquecas capixabas and many fruits from the ocean and seafood. In the country of the state there are many natural beauties, such as the parks of Pedra Azul and Alto Caparaó, and the Italian and German colonies.

L’Espírito Santo est l'un des États du Brésil situé au sud-est du Brésil. Il a pour capitale Vitória et comme ville principale Vila Velha. Le nom de l'État signifie Saint-Esprit. Les habitants de l'État sont nommés "Capixabas", même si le terme officiel est "Espiritossantenses".

Espírito Santo är en delstat i sydöstra Brasilien. Huvudstad är Vitória och största stad Vila Velha. Delstatens namn betyder "heliga ande" efter begreppet inom kristendom. Delstaten har några av landets viktigaste hamnar tack vare sin långa kustlinje. Stränderna i delstaten är också viktiga turistattraktioner. Delstatens huvudstad är lokaliserad på en ö intill Guarapari som är välkänd för sin sand. Längst norr i delstaten ligger kommunen Conceição da Barra, vars sanddyner är berömda.
