Eric I of Denmark
Eric I of Denmark (c. 1070–July 10, 1103), also known as Erik Ejegod (literally: Eric "Evergood"), was King of Denmark following his brother Olaf I in 1095. He was a son of King Sweyn Estridson, by his wife Gunhild Svendsdatter, and he married Boedil Thurgotsdatter.He was born in the town of Slangerup in North Zealand. During the rule of his half-brother Canute IV of Denmark he was an eager supporter of the king but he was spared during the rebellion against Canute. He was by his side when he was slain in Odense, but fled to Sweden and lived in exile until the change of public feeling which made him elected as a king.

Erik I. (Dänemark)
Erik I. Ejegod (* um 1070; † 10. Juli 1103 auf Zypern) war König von Dänemark. Er folgte seinem Bruder Olaf I. im Jahr 1095.Im Jahre 1101 nahm er im heutigen Kungälv an einem Dreikönigstreffen teil. Dort schlossen König Magnus von Norwegen, König Inge von Schweden und er einen Friedensvertrag. Er war der Vater von Knud Lavard, ab 1115 Jarl (Herzog) in Schleswig und erster Ältermann der Schwurbruderschaft Knudsgilde, und Großvater von Waldemar dem Großen.

Eric I di Danimarca (c. 1070 - 10 luglio, 1103), anche conosciuto come Eric "il Semprebuono", fu re di Danimarca dopo suo fratello Olaf I nel 1095. Era figlio di Re Sweyn Estridson, e di sua moglie Gunhild Svendsdatter. Si sposò con Boedil Thurgotsdatter.Nacque nella città di Slangerup nel nord della Zelanda. Durante il regno del suo fratellastro Canuto IV di Danimarca fu un ardente sostenitore del re ma fu risparmiato durante la ribellione contro Canuto e visse in esilio fino al cambio del sentimento pubblico che lo elesse come re. I cronisti medievali (come per esempio Saxo Grammaticus) e i miti lo dipingono come una "persona vigorosa" che si appellava alla gente comune, un uomo volgare a cui piacevano le feste e che condusse una vita privata piuttosto dissoluta. Sebbene fosse un presunto sostenitore di un potere reale forte, sembra che si comportò come un diplomatico evitando qualsiasi scontro con gli agricoltori.
