Enter the Matrix

Enter the Matrix is the first video game based on The Matrix series of films. It was developed by Shiny Entertainment and published by Atari and WB Interactive for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube game systems, and for the PC. It reportedly cost over $30 million to create, one of the most expensive games ever developed. It sold one million copies in its first eighteen days of release, 2.5 million over the first six weeks, and eventually 5 million copies. Enter the Matrix was simultaneously produced with The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

Enter the Matrix est un jeu vidéo en vue à la troisième personne sorti simultanément sur PlayStation 2, XBox, GameCube et PC en 2003. Il est basé sur la trilogie des films Matrix (notamment sur Matrix Reloaded). Il a été developpé par Shiny Entertainment et publié par Atari. Le joueur incarne différents personnages (Niobe, le capitaine du Logos ou Ghost, son lieutenant) de la trilogie, dans un jeu d'action à la troisième personne. Il fut vivement critiqué par les journalistes pour sa médiocrité bien qu'il fut apprécié par quelques fans de la série pour les scènes inédites qu'il comporte. Il fut développé rapidement pour sa sortie entre Matrix Reloaded et Matrix Revolutions.

Enter the Matrix ist ein Computerspiel von Shiny Entertainment/Atari. Der Handlungsrahmen ist die Welt aus dem Film Matrix. Das Spiel erschien fast gleichzeitig mit The Animatrix für PC/PS2/Gamecube/X-Box. Es ist das Verbindungsstück zwischen Matrix Reloaded und Matrix Revolutions, und erzählt manche in Matrix-Reloaded ausgelassene Handlungssequenzen.

Enter the Matrix (ang. wejdź do Matriksa) to gra akcji powstała na podstawie trylogii filmowej Matrix. Gra posiada akceptację twórców filmu i zawarta jest w niej godzina niepublikowanych materiałów filmowych z udziałem aktorów grających w filmie. Mamy okazję wcielić się w jednego z dwóch pasażerów załogi Logosa, statku-poduszkowca znanego z Matriksa (Kapitan Niobe lub specjalistę od wszelkiej maści broni Ghosta). Fabuła gry przeplata się i uzupełnia fabułę filmu. Ciekawe jest to że zależnie jaką postać wybierzemy fabuła gry podąża trochę inną drogą. Następczynią tej gry jest The Matrix: Path of Neo.
