Those persons who are engaged in the operation of a railroad. Ordinarily the fact that the employee is or is not under pay will determine whether he or she is "on duty". However, employees on railroad property while on rest or meal periods, "training time", or doing work which they are expected to do, but actually perform before pay starts, must be considered as "employees on duty."
