Eluveitie

Eluveitie is a folk metal band from Switzerland. Their sound can be described as Celtic pagan folk metal with melodic death metal influences. The band formed in 2002 and their first album, Vên came out in 2003.

Eluveitie ist eine acht Mitglieder umfassende Pagan-Metal-Band aus der Schweiz, die in ihrer Musik keltische Folklore mit Metal-Klang (meist von Death- oder Black Metal beeinflusst) kombinieren. Die Texte der Band orientieren sich an der Geschichte, dem täglichen Leben und der Spiritualität des keltischen Stammes der Helvetier und sind teilweise in einer rekonstruierten Form des helvetischen Gallisch geschrieben. So ist auch der Name der Band selbst aus dieser Sprache und bedeutet soviel wie: „Ich, der Helvetier“.

Eluveitie - szwajcarski zespół folkmetalowy. Ich muzyka to celtycki pagan-folk metal z wpływami melodic death metal. Grupa powstała w 2002 roku. Pierwszy minialbum, Vên, ukazał się w 2003. W 2006 ukazał się pierwszy album zatytułowany Spirit. W 2007 grupa podpisała kontrakt z wytwórnią Nuclear Blast. Pierwsza płyta wydana przez nowego wydawcę (Slania) została wydana w lutym 2008.

Gli Eluveitie sono un gruppo folk metal proveniente dalla Svizzera. Il loro sound può essere descritto come celtic metal con influenze death metal. La band si è formata nel 2002 e ha un primo demo, dal titolo Vên, nel 2003. Poi rimasterizzato (ed in parte riregistrato) per l'etichetta Fear Dark nel 2004; etichetta che ha realizzato anche il primo full lenght della band Spirit del 2006.
